Only a few more weeks

Summer Reading Programs are almost here!

The Junior Department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is kicking off its summer reading program, “Dig Into Reading” on Saturday, June 1, 2012.

The summer reading program includes nine weeks of reading (with no book reports!), prizes, and special programs. Children age three through going into the fifth grade are welcome to join in the fun.

Just keep track of the amount of time read during the summer and stop in to the Junior Library to report results and win prizes. Participants can pick up their reading record anytime after June 1, when registration begins. The program will last all summer, until July 31.

The Library will be busy with special events, starting with “PT Reptiles” on Thursday, June 6 at 4:00 pm in the Adult Reading Room. Other events include “Messy Tuesdays” every week, featuring a different messy form of art, “Family Time in the Garden,” “Parent-Child Book Club,” “Family Time @ The Construction Site” and more.

For more information, check us out on Facebook, log onto the Library’s website at www.tiffinsen.lib.oh.us or ask at the Information Desk.

We need your help!

The Junior Department at Tiffin-Seneca Public Library is in need of volunteers to help with this year’s summer reading program “Dig Into Reading!”

Volunteers, going into the seventh through twelfth grades, will be asked to work approximately two hours, once a week Monday through Friday, between the hours of 10:00 am and 4:00 pm. Participants will help to register children in the summer reading program, which will be located in the Junior Library.

If interested, volunteers may stop by the Junior Library to pick up a volunteer application and speak with one of the Junior Librarians.

For more information, please call the Library at 419-447-3751.
